Our incredible volunteers save the FLC thousands of dollars every year in staffing costs, which we are then able to pump back into educating the children and the families in the community.
There is a place for everyone at the FLC—individuals, families, corporate groups, college students, civic groups, and others. Find your niche and invest your time in changing one life. Your efforts will pay off in more ways than one.

Elementary Tutor

Elementary tutors are volunteers who provide assistance in basic core subjects, such as, reading, writing, math, language, and science.

Middle School Tutor

Middle school tutors are volunteers who provide their skills and expertise in particular core subjects. Based upon your interests and skills, we will match you with students needing assistance in those particular areas of study.

There are many ways to give the gift of your time! Here are some other areas you can volunteer in:

• Work Projects (grounds, repair, maintenance)
• Special Event/Fundraising Planning and Assistance
• Be a part of a Committee (staff training, human resource management, data systems)
• Serve on the Board of Directors (meets the third Monday of every month, requires financial commitments and 10-20 hours a month of volunteer time)
• Office Help
• Public Speaking/Advocacy and Promotion
• Food & Clothing Distribution
